A new year for UNA

Dear Friends,

Another summer has come and gone and the HHS United Nations Association is ready to begin its third year.

This year promises to be an exciting one for UNA. We're currently planning 3-4 Model UN and 4-5 guest lecture engagements. We'll also seek to begin regular field trips during and after school to events related to our mission to broaden our understanding of international affairs.

It is also an exciting year because it is a year of transition for us as our founding members - nearly all seniors - prepare to hand off responsibilities to our underclassmen members. If you are an underclassmen, there is no better time than now to get involved and take on important leadership roles.

This year, with the new one-hour lunch, HHS UNA has been scheduled for the B-block on Mondays. We're excited about the opportunities for the one-hour lunch to allow us to reach more students and collaborate and prepare more effectively.

Starting the second week of school we'll begin our recruitment campaign and announce our first general meeting. The cost of membership remains only $5, one of the most reasonable fees in the school. Thanks for your interest and continued support.

We look forward to seeing you at our first meeting and throughout the year.

All the best,

Kyle Hutzler.

President and founder
